PURI: On the occasion of the holy Rath Yatra, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan visited Puri, participated in the world-famous Rath Yatra and had darshan of Chaturdhamurti.
Greeting everyone on this holy occasion, Shri Pradhan said that Rath Yatra is a holy and glorious day for everyone. Rath Yatra is a unique festival that unites the entire human society, regardless of caste, religion and colour. Lord Jagannath is the protector of the world and his glory is immense. Today, I have the good fortune to see the great Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, Lord Jagannath and Chakraraja Sudarshan at the holy Badadanda. I wish everyone happiness, prosperity and well-being from Lord Jagannath.
Earlier, Shri Pradhan visited Puri Govardhan Peetha. There, he met and sought the presence of Pujya Shankaracharya Jagatguru Swami Nischalananda Saraswati Maharaj. The Union Minister said that Puri Govardhan Peetha is a major center of our faith and belief in Jagannath culture and tradition. The Union Minister expressed the hope that the invaluable knowledge and guidance of Pujya Maharaj will always inspire and enlighten the human society.
