BHUBANESWAR:Strict action is being taken against those involved in illegal stockpiling of petrol and diesel in various places in the state.

For this, as per the instructions issued by the state government, the District Supply Office of Khordha, on the orders of the District Collector Shri Amrit Poodharaj, has conducted raids at various places by the District Supply Officer, Bhubaneswar Assistant Supply Officer, Balianta and Balipatna Supply Inspectors.

A team formed for this purpose raided various petrol pumps and petrol and diesel storage centers in illegal places on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. During the raids, 555 liters of illegally stored diesel were seized from Niranjan Nayak, Bulu Pradhan, Pooran Pradhan, Sushant Kumar Chowdhury, Tapan Kumar Sahu and 5 Ajay Sahu.

They did not have any distributor license or fire department certificate. They were selling oil at a price of Rs 140 per liter in a crowded place with a lucrative mind.
Along with this, the pans and pots used by them have also been seized. District Supply Officer Gyanendra Mishra, Assistant Supply Officer Sunita Behera, Balianta Supply Inspector Alkarani Mallick and Balipatna Supply Inspector Netranand Behera were present during the raid.
