BHUBANESWAR:Today i.e on 18.05.2026, a short while ago, Sri Raghunath Das, Head Master of High School at Chadeiguan near Mahakalpada, Dist- Kendrapara has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe Rs. 5000/- from a staffer of the same school to take steps for drawl of his arrear salary.
The staffer, a new employee, had not received salary since his joining in August, 2025. The staffer had been requesting the accused Head Master Sri Das since then to furnish the attendance sheet to the DDO ( Drawing and Disbursing Officer) in the office of DEO, Kendrapara to draw his salary.
But, accused Sri Das demanded bribe Rs.5,000/- from the staffer to facilitate drawl of his arrear salary. This irked the staffer , and he alerted the vigilance authorities. Upon receiving the information, a team of Odisha Vigilance, today, nabbed Sri Das while taking the demanded bribe money Rs.5,000/- from the staffer. *The entire bribe money of Rs.5000/- has been recovered from exclusive possession of accused Sri Das and seized*.
