The Prime Minister Narendra Modi got huge praise for choosing a candidate from Odisha.Twice elected to Odisha Assembly from Rairangpur constituency in Mayurbhanj Dist in 2000 & 2004. She was a minister in the Odisha Government (BJD-BJP Coalition Govt) from 2000-04 She was also the Jharkhand Governor from 2015-21.
