DA of 334 Percent including 1 Multi Storeyed bldg at Berhampur, 5 plots, Cash Rs.18.90 Lakhs,Deposits Rs 90 Lakhs,Gold 568 gms,1 Concrete Mixer machine,1 JCB unearthed
Sri Panchu Behera, Asst. Engineer, posted as SDO, DAHA Irrigation Sub-Division, office of SE, Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division, Bhanjanagar, Dist-Ganjam *has been placed under arrest by Odisha Vigilance and will be forwarded today to the Court of Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur for possession of disproportionate assets*.
Based on searches conducted on properties of Sri Panchu Behera, Asst. Engineer, *he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 1 multi storeyed building at Berhampur town, 5 valuable plots, cash Rs.18.90 lakhs, deposits 90 lakhs, gold 568 gms, 1 Ajax Argo 4300 concrete mixer machine worth Rs.57 lakhs, 1 Hyundai Excavator machine worth Rs.37 lakhs, etc, which he could not account for satisfactorily*.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS case No. 03 /2026 under Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018 has been registered against Sri Panchu Behera, Asst. Engineer, posted as SDO, DAHA Irrigation Sub-Division, office of SE, Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division, Bhanjanagar, Dist-Ganjam.
