PURI/BHUBANESWAR: The Heavenly Pahandi Procession of Shri Lord Jagannath, his siblings Lord Shri Balabhadra, Devi Maa Subhadra on Thursday afternoon completed pecaefuly amid a huge gathering of devotees thronged from across the Globe to Puri in Odisha, in eastern India.
After the traditional Puja on Rath, which completed at around 8.45 am following which Pahanadi procession started at around 9 am.
Servitors took out a divine procession in which Lord Shri Sudarshan brought to the Nandighose Rath, followed by Lord Shri Balabhadra , Devi Maa Subhadra and Lord Shri Jagannath board the gigantic Chariots parked in front of Lion;s gate amid chants of ‘Haribol’, ‘Jay Jagannath’.
The Pahandi procession completed at around 2 pm and Madam Mohan Bije rituals followed it and completed at 2.20 pm.
Puri Seer Shankaracharya offered prayers on Rath and later Puri King will do sweeping ceremony on Rath, after that pulling of Chariots will begin at around 3.30 pm or 4 pm.
