CUTTACK:Under Operation “Jeevan Rakshya”, the Central Range Police, Cuttack undertook an intensive road safety enforcement drive from 07.01.2026 to 14.01.2026 across all districts of the range with the objective of ensuring safer roads and promoting responsible driving behavior.
During the period, a total of 9,338 vehicles were checked, including 34 buses (commercial/government) and 37 heavy transport vehicles. The enforcement drive covered key districts such as Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Khordha and Nayagarh, with focused checks on traffic violations and compliance with road safety norms.
As a result of strict enforcement, fines amounting to ₹36.86 lakh were imposed on violators. No suspicious activities were reported during the drive, reflecting the preventive and deterrent impact of the operation.
