PURI/BHUBANESWAR:Based on the guidelines (SOP) approved by the state government, today, Saturday, 11.4.2026, the “Second Phase: On the fourth day, the inventory of the remaining ornaments and valuables stored in the external treasury has been completed, keeping the traditions of the temple intact amidst strict security.
Today, as usual, the authorized members for the external gem inventory work arrived at the temple’s main office meeting room at the scheduled time. Under the leadership of the Chief Administrator of the temple, Dr. Arvind Padhi and the Chairman of the high-level committee formed for the gem inventory, Justice Rath, the Deputy Chief Administrator and District Magistrate, the Security Officer, the Authorized Senior Officer, the Chhatisha Niyog Nayak, the Gem Inventory Sub-Committee Sevak members and all the associates left the temple office at 10.35 am and entered the temple at 10.41 am.
Before entering the temple’s treasury, all authorized members should wear traditional attire and then the Chief Administrator will instruct the authorized members involved in the inventory process to count the remaining gems and jewelry stored in the outer treasury. At the request of the treasurer, before the inventory of the inner treasury, while going through the outer treasury to the inner treasury, the cloth items outside the outer treasury should be kept in a new closet and unblocked. Therefore, the work of bringing the said cloth closet to the outer treasury will be completed.
Therefore, all the members addressed the members to carry out today’s census work with sincerity and dedication and in accordance with the approved guidelines. After taking the blessings of the deity temple on the side of the temple, after checking with the metal detector installed at the outer gate and signing, the members involved in the census process opened the doors of the gem store at 11:30 am today in the presence of the magistrate. After providing the remaining ornaments stored in the outer gem store with the make-up, the members involved in the census process of the ornaments, including the jewelers, gemologists and weight and weight officers, checked and completed all the processes correctly as before. The census ornaments were photographed, videographed, 3D scanned and e-catalogued.
The counting of the ornaments stored in the Ratnabhandar has been a time-consuming process, but with the dedicated efforts of the members involved in the counting process, the counting of all the ornaments stored in the Ratnabhandar has been completed today, after carefully examining the details of each ornament, providing proper guidance, and carrying out all the step-by-step procedures with dedication.
After the completion of today’s inventory process, the treasury gates were closed and sealed at 6:35 pm in the presence of the magistrate. All the recording data chips used in the process were kept safely in the strong room of the temple branch office in the presence of the magistrate.
Chief Administrator Dr. Aurobindo Padhi expressed his gratitude and thanks to all the servants, officials, and devotees for their unwavering cooperation as today’s “second phase: fourth day” counting process was completed smoothly, following all the rules and regulations as per the government’s guidelines, implementing the principles of Mahaprabhu and arranging for the darshan of devotees.
