BHUBANESWAR: While expressing his deepest gratitude and best wishes on occasion of 74th Birth Day of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, BJD Lok Sabha MP, from Kendrapara, Anubhav Mohanty has announced to donate his eyes. “Kendrapara was Karmabhoomi of late legendary Biju Babu and its sitting MP Mohanty has set an example by announcing this noble thought on Naveen Patnaik’s birth day,” a BJD veteran said.
Sharing his thoughts in a Facebook post, the Lok Sabha MP Mohanty said “ I am proudly announce that I will donate my eyes for some genuinely needy,”.“#MyFather (Bapa) & #MyMother (Mami) have always been more than God to me?? They have selflessly sacrificed their happiness just to see me happy & smiling. But, I unfortunately failed to reciprocate their unconditional love for me for few silly mistakes of mine.Anyways, after my Parents, if ever I could Love, Respect and Follow Someone in my life in the same way then He’s My Most Loveable Leader/Mentor Shri Naveen Patnaik Sir,” the MP wrote in his post.
“Today is His 74th Birthday. I couldn’t have selected a better day to take one of the biggest decisions of my life.For the sake of my dearest #PARENTS’ health & for the sake of my respected #NAVEEN Sir’s long life, I happily & proudly announce that I will donate my eyes to let someone very much needy see this beautiful Universe and smile forever,” the Lok Sabha MP, who is also National Spokesperson of BJD, said.
“I know, it’s bit difficult for my family and dear ones to accept this but I just want to say that we are not God who can give life to anyone ! But we definitely can Save Someone Needy’s Life by Donating Our Body Organs etc.On This 16th Of October’2020, on the occasion of Hon’ble #NaveenPatnaik Sir’s Birthday, Let’s Pledge Together To Save Lives By Donating Plasma, Blood, Body Organs or at least by helping a needy with a smile.
