On 86th Utkal Diwas , Naveen Jindal Reiterates JSP’s Commitment for Naveen Patnaik’s Vision of Industry led Holistic Prosperity

BHUBANESWAR: While congratulating the people of Odisha, on occasion of Utkal Diwas and 86th Formation Day today, which he described this eastern Indian State, as his ‘Karmabhoomi’,  the Jindal Steel and Power , Chairman, Naveen Jindal , on Friday reiterated his company’s commitment for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s  vision of Industry led holistic prosperity of the State.

In a series of tweets, on occasion of 86th Utkal Diwas, the JSP Chairman, said  “we will make World’s largest single location steelmaking complex at Angul in Odisha by 2030,”. “Odisha is our karmabhoomi & we are firmly committed to its overall development,” the 2 times former Lok Sabha, MP , added.

“Odisha is our karmabhoomi & we are firmly committed to its overall development. Aligning with Hon’ble CM @Naveen_Odisha ji’s vision of Industry led holistic prosperity, we will make world’s largest single location steelmaking complex at Angul, Odisha by 2030. @CMO_Odisha,” the JSP Chairman said in another tweet.

Since the expansion plan got nod of Odisha Government, the JSP Chairman, has not been missing a single stone unturned to expedite the expansion work. JSP plan to expand the Angul steel plant’s capacity from 6 MTPA to 25.2 MTPA by 2030 ,which will be the largest Plant in the World in a single location as per present capacities.

Presently, JSP is the largest investor in Odisha in the Iron & Steel Sector with an investment of more than ₹45,000 crore.The Company has set up a 6 MTPA steel plant at Angul, the largest in Odisha and a 9 MTPA pellet plant at Barbil, the biggest in India.In the next ten years, the Company would increase its investment in the State to more than ₹1,00,000 crore. The expansion is expected to generate enormous economic activity and employment opportunities in the State
