Odisha SRC PK Jena issues fresh Guidelines for COVID-19 Management, Night Curfew to Continue

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Special Relief Commissioner, PK Jena was on Friday issued fresh guidelines for COVID-19 management.  The Odisha Government released detailed guidelines with stipulations for Unlock 3 to be followed in the state until midnight of August 31.

In an order, the Office of Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha, said: “The State Government, on assessment of the situation, do hereby promulgate the following guidelines in the State of Odisha until midnight of August 31. This order will come into force with effect from 01.08.2020.“Govt of Odisha order on lockdown/unlock issued today may be seen at srcodisha.nic.in,” SRC Jena tweeted.

“Night curfew will continue from 9 pm to 5 am in the State for the month of August. The weekend shutdown will be imposed in four districts of Ganjam, Khurda, Gajapati, Cuttack and Rourkela Municipal Corporation till August 31,” SRC Jena said.

On August 1 and 2, the shutdown will be enforced from 1 pm to 9 pm. All shops and activities can continue from 5 am to 1 pm, he said. The SRC further said that lockdown in containment zones has been extended till August 31.

Jena said that gyms will be allowed to open in the State from August 5. There will be no restrictions on inter-state movement of goods. He said Collectors and municipal commissioners are empowered to impose restrictions if the situation so demands.

Religious institutions, cinema halls and theatres will remain closed for the public till August 31. Schools, colleges and teaching institutions will also remain closed till August 31.Gyms will be allowed to open in the state from August 5.
