BHUB ANESWAR: The Naveen Patnaik led Government in Odisha, in yet another bold step, brought smile among students of Government Schools.To remove the inequalities and to facilitate entry of talented students of Government High Schools in Engineering and Medical courses in Odisha, the State has notified reservation of 15% seats in Medical & Engineering colleges of State.
Following the recommendations made by a high-power committee, Odisha Government has announced reservation for students who have passed 10th Board Exam under BSE from Government High Schools and 12th Board Exam under CHSE from any Government Higher Secondary School/Government Junior College.
Such reservations will be horizontal covering all vertical reservations as well as Unreserved Group. In case adequate number of eligible students are not available, such unfilled seats will be filled by other students of respective category.
