Odisha IPS Officers’ Association Condoles the death of former CBI Director Uma Shankar Mishra

CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The members of the IPS Association (Odisha Branch) have been shocked by the sad demise of Shri Uma Sankar Mishra, retired IPS officer of 1968 batch of Odisha Cadre. A condolence meeting in this regard was held today on virtual platform under the Chairmanship of Sri Abhay, IPS, DGP Odisha.

The members present in the meeting offered floral tribute to the departed soul. One minute silence was observed by the members. The association members also expressed their heartfelt grief and solace to the family members of Late Shri Uma Sankar Mishra. A native of Puri District, Shri Mishra had served in various capacities in the State of Odisha and Govt. of India. He was not only an extremely efficient Police Officer but also a person with true professional acumen.           

 Senior IPS Officers of Odisha including Shri M. Akhaya, IPS, DGP HG & FS, Shri Arun Kumar Ray, IPS, Spl. DGP (Communication), Shri Pranabindu Acharya, IPS, ADGP Railways, Shri Vinaytosh Mishra, IPS, Director SCRB, Shri R.K. Sharma, IPS, ADGP L&O, Shri Amitabh Thakur, IPS, IGP (Operations), Shri S. Dev Datta Singh, IPS, IGP (Hdqrs.), Shri Yatindra Koyal, IPS, IGP (Prov.), Shri S. Praveen Kumar, IPS, IGP (Pers.) and others senior police officers were present in the meeting.
