BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Government has reportedly extended the service tenure of sitting DGP YB Khurania till August 15. DGP Khuarania was slated to retire from service on March 31, while it was extended till August.
The Government also extended the service of DG (CID-CB) Vinaytosh Mishra till November. Mishra was slated to retire on March 31 along with Additional Director, IB Swapna Tiwari.
The move has again embarrassed Odia IPS officers like Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi, Sushant Nath, Sanjeeb Panda and others like RP Koche.
Considering seniority, Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi was front runner while Nath and Koche also in race but Government extended service. Sources said, around 14 IPS officers across India including 3 from Odisha are retiring on March 31.
