Odisha COVID-19 Positive cases reach at 56, 18 recovered,1 deceased so far

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha’s tally in COVID-19 positive case was on Tuesday reached at 56 with reports of 1 fresh case. As per the report, the patient is a 66-year-old man of Sana Trilochanpur village under Jafarpur Gram Panchayat in Jajpur  with travel history to Kolkata.He was in home quarantine and currently admitted to Ashwini hospital.

Meanwhile, after the detection of the new case, the district administration has declared three villages, including Sana Trilochanpur and Saipur as containment zone..

Meanwhile, total of 18 persons in Odisha have recovered from the deadly disease till date.Besides, testing capacity in the state has also increased.

As many as 564 samples were tested during the last 24 hours. While the number of active cases stood at 37, a total of 18 patients were cured and tested negative for the virus, sources said.Death toll remains at 1 as an elderly person had died of COVID-19 in the state.
