BHUBANESWAR: Nuapada Assembly constituency in Odisha witnessed voter turnout of approximately 75.37% as of the 5:00 PM .

Polling concluded successfully across all 358 polling stations. A minor technical issue involving the replacement of one Electronic Voting Machine set (Ballot Unit, Control Unit, and VVPAT) at Booth No. 246 was swiftly addressed by the election officials, ensuring continuous voting.

The election turned into a fierce three-way battle: the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had fielded Jay Dholakia, the late MLA’s son; the BJD nominated former MLA Snehangini Chhuria; and the Congress party put forward veteran Ghasiram Majhi.
