RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: The National Unity Day was observed, and Vigilance Awareness Week was inaugurated at NTPC CMHQ Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi on October 31,2022.
On the occasion , Shri Partha Mazumder ,Regional Executive Director(Coal mining) administered the pledge of National Unity Day and integrity pledge on Vigilance Awareness week in the august presence of head of departments and senior officials of the headquarters.
Employees participated in the pledge taking ceremony in large numbers and were encouraged to take e-pledge by visiting the Central Vigilance Commission website.
The National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated in remembrance of birth anniversary of “The Iron Man of India” ,Late Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had a major role in the political integration of India.The day provides strength and resilience for the nation to hold on to unity, integrity, and security.
Vigilance Awareness Week, 2022 will be observed from 31st October to 6th November, 2022.During this week various competitions like quiz, elocution for employees and elocution essay and poster for employee’s family members. In addition, a Preventive Vigilance Workshop is proposed to be conducted. For creating publicity on Vigilance Awareness, banners and posters shall be displayed at prominent locations. Employees’ active participation is expected to make the vigilance awareness week very participative and productive.
