BHUBANESWAR: Odisha cadre IPS officers were on Saturday got New Year gifts from Naveen Patnaik led BJD Government with several promoted to higher ranks.
As per the Government notification, at least 3 IPS officers of 1995 batch were promoted to ADGP Rank. They were RK Sharma, SK Priyadarshi and Santosh Bala.
While 2 IPS officers of 2002 batch including Narasingh Bhol and Amitendra Nath Singh got IGP rank but Government silent on same batch Satish Kumar Gajbhiye.
Aunp Sahu and Anirudha Singh of 2006 batch got DIG rank. With promotion, Anup Sahu may be shifted as Bhubaneswar DCP. The others 3 in 2006 batch, those are now on Central deputation including Amrita Dash, Anoop Krishna and Sudha Singh got Performa promotion to DIG rank.
Meanwhile, 4 IPS officers of 2007 batch including Awinash Kumar, Sarthak Sarangi, Niti Sekhar and Rajesh Pandit were promoted to Selection Grade.
