Naveen Patnaik Invites suggestions from Industry Bodies to finalise New Industrial Policy-2020

BHUBANESWAR: The Naveen Patnaik led Government in Odisha was on Tuesday invited suggestions from various Industry Associations to finalise New Industrial Policy-2020, which will come up by September this year.

State Industries and MSME Secretary Hemant Sharma while speaking in a webinar, said that the Government is working on it to finalise by September this year and suggestions have been invited from all stake holders. The E-Conference was attended by more than 100 participants from Food Processing and allied sectors from different parts of Odisha.

Director, Industries Department, Reghu G informed about the Current Industrial Operating status and said that the issues faced by the industries by this unprecedented outbreak and lockdown should be conveyed to the government directly or through association or themselves.

Sharma said that the State Government is working progressively to contain the pandemic by promoting and making huge changes in Health Infrastructure of the state.He informed that the State Government is taking all possible steps by setting up Healthcare Centers in rural and urban areas, providing all important hygiene materials, PPEs and Ventilators etc to Health Workers and Hospitals. The Industries and MSME Secretary  said all necessary arrangements are performed in the Quarantine centers in rural & urban areas so that the disease would not be able to spread, he said.
