Naveen Patnaik appreciates Mo Beach Yoga Campaign on Puri’s Blue Flag Golden Beach

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday strongly acknowledged the noble idea of Puri district administration hosting  the Mo Beach Yoga campaign on Puri’s Blue Flag Golden Beach.

“Appreciate the efforts of Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha and Puri District Admin towards promoting wellness & environment education through #MoBeachYoga campaign. This initiative will help spread awareness regarding physical and mental health, which has become even more crucial during this pandemic,” Odisha CMO tweeted.

With pro-active Puri Collector Balwant Singh taking the lead, the district administration on Saturday morning launched Mo Beach Yoga to promote healthy lifestyle habits through yoga.

“A first of its kind beach campaign that is aimed at Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) & promoting healthy lifestyle habits through yoga, #MoBeachYoga starts in a scenic ambience with the sound of the waves, a breathtaking view of the sea early in the morning and #SuryaNamaskar,” PuriOfficial tweeted @Puri_Official.

Collector  Singh shared the purpose behind #MoBeachYoga at #BlueFlagGoldenBeach. Expressing the vision for a healthier Puri with sustainable env. especially in the wake of #covid19, he requests for citizen participation.

“As per Ayush Ministry and Union Health Ministry and State Health Department guidelines , we are hosting this 2 days initiate,” Collector Singh said adding some 200 people are attending the campaign.

#MoBeach campaign is entering a new arena in Wellness and Environment Education with #MoBeachYoga at the time of #COVID19. A pilot project of Directorate of AYUSH@HFWOdisha in collaboration with Beach Management Committee at Puri Beach on October 17-18, 2020 at 6:30 AM.
