BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and BJD Kendrapara Lok Sabha MP, Anubhav Mohanty, on Monday pitched an emotional appeal to the people of Balasore Sadar and Tirtol in Jagatsinghpur to pour their blessings on Party candidates Swarup Kumar Das and Bijay Shankar Das for the ensuing bye-polls.
“ଆଗାମୀ ବିଧାନସଭା ଉପ-ନିର୍ବାଚନ ପାଇଁ ବାଲେଶ୍ୱର ସଦରରୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କୁମାର ଦାସ ଏବଂ ତିର୍ତ୍ତୋଲରୁ ଶ୍ରୀ ବିଜୟ ଶଙ୍କର ଦାସଙ୍କୁ Biju Janata Dal Odisha ପ୍ରାର୍ଥୀ ଭାବେ ଚୟନ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଲୋକଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ସହ ରାଜ୍ୟ ପ୍ରଗତିଧାରାକୁ ଆହୁରି ତ୍ୱରାନ୍ୱିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳକୁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ କରନ୍ତୁ।,” Naveen Patnaik tweeted@Naveen_Odisha.
While thanking Chief Minister Patnaik for selecting 2 best candidates for the bye-polls, MP Mohanty hoped that both will live to expectations of Party and President. “Sincere regards and thanks Hon’ble Naveen Patnaik Sir for nominating #SwarupKumarDas for Balasore & #BijayaShankarDas for Tirtol by-elections Biju Janata Dal Odisha Candidates. The ruling BJD picked up Bijay Sankar Das, son of former BJD MLA Bishnu Das, for Tirtol Assembly seat in Jagatinghpur while Swarup Kumar Das is chosen as candidate for Balasore Sadar. Former Balasore MP Rabindra Jena, his wife and former MLA Jiban Pradip Das were lobbying for Balasore Sadar but finally Swarup Kumar Das declared as official candidate.
Earlier on Sunday, the BJP had declared Manas Dutta, son of deceased BJP MLA Madan Mohan Dutta for Balasore Sadar while Rajkishore Behera for Tirtol. Congress is yet to announce their candidates.
