BHUBANESWAR:  Chief Minister and BJD Supremo Naveen Patnaik on Thursday filed his nomination papers for the second Assembly seat of Kantabanji in Balangir.

BJD leaders AU Singh Deo, Tukuni Sahoo, Kalikesh Singh Deo, VK Pandian were among those present during Patnaik’s filing of nomination papers.  Patnaik had earlier filed his nomination papers for the his first seat of Hinjli in Ganjam.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan after offering prayers at Maa Samaleswari Temple, filed his nomination papers for Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat. BJP’s Jual Oram filed his nomination papers for Sundargarh Lok Sabha seat while Party’s Aparajita Sarangi filed her nomination papers for Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seat.

BJD’s Arup Patnaik and Manmmath Routray have filed their nomination papers for Puri and Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha seats respectively. BJD MP Candidate Arup Patnaik offers prayers at Shree Lord Jagannath Temple and then proceeded in a procession to file his nomination papers for Puri Lok Sabha seat against BJP’s Dr Sambit Patra.

BJD’s Kalikesh Singh Deo filed his nomination papers for Balangir Assembly seats.  Odisha will see four phases voting from May 13 and next dates were, May 20, May 25 and June 1 while couting of votes will be on June 4.  As many as 21 Lok Sabha seats and 147 Assembly seats are going for polls in Odisha.
