When an individual takes responsibility , only then can the rights and security of thousands of people in the society be ensured, said the MP and while attending the historic 36th convocation ceremony of Sambalpur University. On this occasion , he heartily congratulated all the young talents , their teachers and proud parents who have achieved graduation , post-graduation, degrees and gold medals through rigorous study , dedication and research . Describing Sambalpur and Burla campuses as the best platform for personality development , he said that in today’s era of ‘ disruptive technology ‘ and artificial intelligence, the world is going through a big change and convergence. Citing the examples of ancient stone carvings of Asurgarh and Bhim Sangham in Bargarh , he said that there is scientific evidence of thousands of years of ancient civilization in the Mahanadi river basin. We have to take this glorious heritage forward without limiting ourselves to our personal or family development. In the next 10 years, on the occasion of the centenary of the formation of Odisha in 2036 and the 100th anniversary of the country’s independence in 2047, 21 years later, our youth will have to take on a major responsibility for the construction of Odisha and India .
Shri Pradhan expressed the hope that Sambalpur University, affiliated with the National Research Foundation, will maintain its unique identity as a leading institution in the country in research , social analysis and capacity building, and that its youth will form the intellectual backbone of the country .
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati and Minister of Higher Education , Sports and Youth Affairs Suryavanshi Suraj.
