BHUBANESWAR: More than 100 school children are participating in a 10-day Summer Camp organised by Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) which began here on Monday.
Children from different schools of Bhubaneswar are participating in the camp being held in the university campus where they would be provided training in different games, Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare) of SOA, who inaugurated the program, said.
“We will hold programs for their mental development as well,” he said adding it was being held for the fourth consecutive year.
Children studying in Class V up to Class X are participating in the camp where training will be imparted in games like volleyball, basketball, table tennis, tennis, cricket, kho kho, kabaddi and chess. The camp will run every day from 4 pm to 6 pm. Ms. Sunita Barma, SOA’s Sports Officer, was also present.
