NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi spoke to former Prime Minister, Shri H D Devegowda and enquired about his and his wife’s health.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Spoke to former PM Shri @H_D_Devegowda Ji and enquired about his and his wife’s health. Praying for their quick recovery.”
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has also expressed deep concern. “Concerned to know that former Prime Minister Shri H D Devegowda ji along with his wife Smt. Chennamma tested positive for #COVID19. Wishing him and his wife a speedy recovery and praying for their long life,” Naveen Patnaik tweeted@Naveen_Odisha.
The Former PM said he and his wife had tested positive for COVID-19 and were self-isolating.”My wife Chennamma and I have tested positive for COVID-19. We are self-isolating along with other family members. I request all those who came in contact with us over the last few days to get themselves tested. I request party workers and well-wishers not to panic,” tweeted Deve Gowda, 87.
