BHUBANESWAR: Citing political developments in Maharashtra and Karnataka, BJP may follow the same path to form the Government in Odisha, apprehending BJD leader VK Pandian.
VK Pandian while addressing a press meet on Wednesday, alleged that BJP wants to devastate and destabilise BJD and if they win around 40 to 50 MLA seats in the State, they will follow the Maharashtra and Karnataka trick to capture power. Pandian said, BJD will win 2/3rd majority in Assembly seats while a good number of MP seats.
VK Pandian’s press meet came days after his Chopper interview with BJD boss and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in connection with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statements in Berhampur and Nabarangpur, where Modi said, BJD Government expire date written till June 4 and on June 6, BJP will choose its Chief Minister candidate and Government will take oath on June 10.
Responding to it, Pandian had earlier claimed that Patnaik will bounce back to power for 6th terms and oath taking will be on June 10 between 11.30 AM to 1.30 PM.
VK Pandian also targeted Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi. He also informed that, BJD will release its election manifesto within next few days. He said, BJD manifesto will spring surprise, he said.
“All are waiting for Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s manifesto and this will released within two days. BJD’s manifesto is not for getting vote, but for the development of Odisha,” said Pandian.
He said, the State Government working overtime to promote Odia language and culture. He alleged that 8 MPs from Odisha were elected on BJP ticket while they did nothing for the State. No National Highway and Costal Highways projects came to Odisha.
