TACHER/KANIHA: Keeping in view of safety challenges especially controlling fire incidents at Talcher Kaniha power station, a new modern Fire tender was brought into service. Chief General Manager,Talcher Kaniha Santosh James inaugurated the inclusion of fire tender with traditional puja ceremony in the august presence of N S Rao ,GM(TS) ,K S Sarma ,AGM(HR), Gokul Kumar Kohli ,DC,CISF,Shri Pankaj Kumar,Sub Inspector ,CISF(FIRE) ,Jakir Khan ,DGM(HR) and other senior officials and CISF personnel.
Some of the major features of the multipurpose fire tender, it has a capacity of 4500 litres water, 500 litre foam tank & two Nitrogen cylinder 500 kg of Chemical Powder capable to dealing of various fire incidents.
The fire tender also has a monitor (outlet) which can be rotated 360 degree for fire fighting and reach any target at less possible time to extinguish fire. The inclusion of the new fire tender acted as a catalyst to deal with any fire contingencies.
