BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday engaged in discussions with a Japanese business delegation at the Convention Centre, Lok Seva Bhawan, on investment opportunities in Odisha, with a special focus on the growth of the green economy.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) was signed with the ACME Group and IHI Corporation. The two companies have initiated plans to establish three projects in Odisha, involving an investment of approximately ₹67,000 crore and creating around 7,600 employment opportunities.
Under the visionary leadership of CM Majhi, Odisha has taken another decisive step towards becoming a global powerhouse in clean energy and sustainable industrialisation with the signing of the landmark Memorandum of Cooperation with IHI Corporation and ACME Group.
The proposed investment of ₹67,000 crore is expected to generate over 6,700 employment opportunities, drive green manufacturing, facilitate cutting-edge technology transfer, and further strengthen Odisha’s position as a preferred global destination for future-ready industries and clean energy investments.
Industry Minister Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary Industry , Home and IPR Department Hemant Sharma, MD IPICOL and otthers were among those present.
