BHUBANESWAR: Khandagiri PS Case No- 493 dated 06.11.2023 u/s – 379 IPC, Complainant: Naresh kumar Subudhi of Sijua, PS- Khandagiri, Bhubanswar UPD.
Gist: On dated 04.11.2023 at 11 PM, the complainant had parked his bullet m/c and one Yamaha R 15 motorcycle in front of his house and the same had been stolen by some unknown culprit.
During investigation by Khandagiri Police, below noted accused persons were apprehended and total 23 stolen motorcycles have been seized from their possession. Further investigation reflected that, they have committed series of m/c theft from different areas of Bhubaneswar (Bharatpur, Airfield, Infocity, Badagada) & disposed he same at various areas of Ganjam (Khalikote, Goshani Nuagaon), Bouda (Purunakatak) as well as Nayagarh. They are arrested & forwarded to the Court. Further investigation is under progress & remand report will be submitted against them for further investigation.
Total 37 motorcycles have been seized by Bhubaneswar police in the month December- 2023 so far. Capital Police has busted a two- member bike lifting racket targeting bike parked near hospital & park areas on dtd 02.12.2023 earlier this month with the seizure of 14 motorcycles from their possession.

Prasanta kumar Bhoi aka Kalu (28), S/O- s/o- Arata kumar Bhoi of vill- Pampad, ps- Ranapur, Dist- Nayagarh, Sunil aka Sipun, S/O- Dillip Kumar Malla of vill- Maria, PS-Ranpur, Dist- Nayagarh and Haraprasad Das aka Raja (23), S/O- Ramesh Chandra Das of vill- Goudapatna, PS- Jankia, Dist- Khordha.
