PARADIP/BHUBANESWAR: The Union Minister of State for Shipping (Independent Charge) and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Mansukh L. Mandaviya on Thursday visited the harbor at Paradip port in Odisha to view various facilities of container, cargo terminals and other ongoing works.

On arrival, the Minister was given guard of honour by the Coast Guard and Navy and later accompanied by PPT Chairman Rinkesh Rai, Mandaviya took stock of the present situation and hailed growth report of the port.PPT Chairman Rinkesh Rai appraised the Minister about various steps taken by the Port.

Paradip Port is a natural, deep-water port on the East coast of India in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha. It is situated at confluence of the Mahanadi river and the Bay of Bengal. It is situated 210 nautical miles south of Kolkata and 260 nautical miles north of Visakhapatnam.
