JSPL built Model AWC in Odisha’s Sundargarh

KOIRA/TENSA/BHUBANESWAR: With Shallu Jindal, the hyper active Chairperson working overtime to ensure fruits of development reach to the need and downtrodden in Odisha, a child-friendly ‘Model Anganwadi Centre’, constructed by the JSPL Foundation, the CSR arm of the Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), was inaugurated at Tensa in Odisha’s Sundargarh district.

“This child-friendly ‘Model Anganwadi Centre’ at #JSPLTensa is an attractive place for children with facilities like early stimulation, infant games, model features & nutri-garden. It has adequate space for multi-purpose activities incl student learning programmes,” JSPLFoundation tweeted @JSPLFoundation.

Project Director, DRDA, Sundargarh, Bhairab Singh Patel; Tehsildar, Koira, Pallavi Rani Raj and Sarpanch, Tensa, Anita Putty were present on the occasion among other company officials.

As many as 35 pre-school kids of tribals-dominated Tantra and Phuljhar villages under Tensa GP of Koira Block will be immensely benefitted from the centre.

The Model Centre is a safe and attractive place for children with facilities like early stimulation, infant games, model features, waste management and nutri-garden. It is also having adequate space to conduct multi-purpose activities including student learning programmes, student co-curricular activities, health and social awareness programme and SHG meet, etc.
