BHUBANESWAR:Jindal Foundation celebrated Seva Diwas on the birthday of its Honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Shallu Jindal, through a series of humanitarian and community outreach initiatives supporting children, senior citizens, women and young sportspersons across orphanages, old-age homes, villages and special care institutions.

The celebrations brought moments of joy and togetherness to communities. Senior citizens at old-age homes sang devotional bhajans and showered blessings on the Chairperson, while children at children’s homes created rangoli, danced, sang and prayed for her good health and long life. Residents expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s continued support and the time its team members spent with them.

Health and welfare initiatives included special Ayurveda and geriatric health camps for elderly residents, physiotherapy services, general medical check-ups and dry ration support. Menstrual health and hygiene awareness sessions were organised for adolescent girls, and sanitary napkins were distributed to girls from underprivileged families. Special lunches and hot meals were also arranged for children and elderly residents.

In rural communities, women’s groups and village women gathered for prayers, bhajan-kirtan and community celebrations. They expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Foundation’s support in improving their livelihoods. Fruit packets and snacks were distributed among all.

The celebrations also recognised grassroots sporting talent. Under-14 football players from Serenda and Bhadrasahi Gram Panchayats thanked the Foundation for its continued support for grassroots football. Sports gear and jerseys were distributed to 85 players, while senior Foundation officials encouraged the young sportspersons and conveyed the Chairperson’s good wishes.

Through these initiatives, Jindal Foundation reaffirmed its mission of building an inclusive nation where underprivileged and socially vulnerable people can live with dignity and fulfilment.
