BHUBANESWAR:Jajpur Police is proud to announce the successful culmination of a special initiative titled “Operation Reconnect”, conducted from 22nd March to 29th March. This dedicated drive focused on tracing and recovering stolen and lost mobile phones using data from the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal.
During the operation, concerted efforts by police teams led to the recovery of 92 numbers of mobile devices that had been reported missing or stolen. Leveraging technology, coordination, and swift action, these devices have been identified and matched with their rightful owners.
In a citizen-centric approach, IG,CR,Dr Satyajit Naik,IPS in presence of SP,Jajpur formally handed over the recovered mobile phones to their owners on 31st March, reinforcing the department’s commitment to public service. This initiative not only reconnects individuals with their valuable possessions but also symbolizes the restoration of trust between the community and the police.
IG,CR,said,“Operation Reconnect” reflects the vision of building a people-friendly police force—one that is approachable, responsive, and dedicated to safeguarding the interests of the public. By combining technology-driven solutions with community engagement, Jajpur Police continues to strengthen its bond with citizens.
