IPS Officers’ Association condoles death of Former DGP John Nayak

CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: The members of the IPS Association of Odisha Branch have been shocked by the sad demise of John Nayak, Former DG Fire Services & Home Guards. A condolence meeting in this regard was held today at State Police Hdqrs, Cuttack in virtual mode under the Chairmanship of DGP Abhay.

The members present in the meeting cherished the memories of late Nayak and offered floral tribute to the departed soul. Two minute silent prayer was observed by the members. The association members also expressed their heartfelt grief and solace to the family members of the former DG Fire Services & Home Guards. A native of Kandhamal Distirct, the veteran Police officer joined IPS in 1965 and served in various capacities in State Police till his retirement in June, 2002.

ADGP Hdqrs Lalit Das, Director Intelligence R.K. Sharma, IGP (Modernization) Sanjay Singh, IGP (ER) Diptesh Pattnayak, IGP (Provisioning) Yatindra Koyal, IGP (Personnel) S. Praveen Kumar and others were present in the meeting .Honorary Secretary of Association Saumendra Priyadarshi conducted the programme.
