Indian Medical Association meets Odisha DGP, Seeks Better security for Health Professionals

CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Indian Medical Associating has urged the Odisha DGP Abhay to take necessary steps for the better security of medical fraternity in the State.  Odisha Police is committed to the safety of health professionals engaged in serving the patients of coronavirus in the state. This assurance was given to the delegation of Odisha chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) during their meeting with the Odisha DGP Abhay.

The delegation was headed by the former president of IMA, Odisha chapter, Dr. Purna Chandra Mohapatra, Nibedita Pani, Secretary Dr. Braja Kishore Das, and others.The meeting was mainly devoted to the security crisis of the doctors, health workers, and professionals engaged in treating patients affected with coronavirus.

The DGP said the state police is committed to their safety and security and assured the delegation to act fearlessly in fighting the dreaded corona.The delegation also praised the efforts of police personnel while discharging their duties at hospitals and other places in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.
