BHUBANESWAR: In view of the impact of Cyclone Arnab, all government, government-aided, and private schools in Khordha district will remain closed from 1 PM today and tomorrow (October 27 and 28, 2026).
The district administration has issued instructions in this regard. Instructions have been issued for the closure of all schools in the district from kindergarten to Class XII. All teachers and staff of the schools will remain present at the schools.
Instructions have been given to prepare school buildings and ancillary arrangements to deal with the possible cyclone. Instructions have been given to headmasters and principals to implement roster duty for keeping the schools open 24 hours. Instructions have been issued to strictly follow this immediately. Along with this, the holidays of all government employees have been canceled until October 31.
