BHUBANESWAR:Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired the Cabinet meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan.
In this 43rd Cabinet meeting, 12 important decisions have been taken for the development of the state.
Out of these, the Chief Minister, while making a statement regarding a landmark decision related to education, said that ‘Jnanoday – Shiksharu Samrudhi’ scheme.
Under this scheme, a decision has been taken to provide free education to all the students of Odisha from KG to PG. With this historic decision, not a single student of the state will be deprived of education or will drop out of school due to financial constraints.
“Jnanoday – Shiksharu Samrudhi” is not just a fee waiver scheme. It is an important step towards ensuring that every child and youth of Odisha, irrespective of their financial background, gets equal opportunities to receive education.
