PURI/BHUBANESWAR:Today, Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Cuttack, visited Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri.
During the visit, the IGP sought the blessings of Lord Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath and reviewed the police security and other arrangements for the upcoming holy Kartik Brata – Habisyali Yatra.
The IGP held detailed discussions with district police personnel regarding crowd management, traffic regulation, accommodation security, and safety of Habisyalis (women devotees observing Kartik Brata). He emphasized ensuring their safety, comfort, and smooth management during their stay in the holy town.
Adequate police deployment, help desks, and special security measures for elderly devotees will be put in place for the entire duration of the Yatra.
