BHUBANESWAR/PURI: Dr. Satyajit Naik, IGP, Central Range, alongside Shri Prateek Singh, SP, Puri, visited the Rathakhala today to review the ongoing construction of the sacred chariots for the upcoming Rath Yatra 2026.
During the visit, the officers interacted with the revered Moharanas and Sevayats, who are working tirelessly under the open sky to craft the majestic chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.
Recognizing the intense summer heatwaves, the senior officers distributed Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) packets and hydration essentials to the artisans, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being remain a top priority during these long, gruelling working hours.
Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, IG of Central Range (CR), also visited the historic Gundicha Temple today to personally review the security blueprints and crowd management arrangements ahead of the upcoming Rath Yatra 2026.
