BHUBANESWAR:IGP, Central Range, Dr. Satyajit Naik visited the flood-affected villages of Indaroi, Erbanka and Bankasahi under Erbanka Gram Panchayat, Jajpur Block, to assess the ground situation and review safety security measures and ongoing relief and rescue efforts.
It may be noted here that 2.69 lakh people have been evacuated to safer places. 17 ODRAF, 7 NDRF and 129 fire and emergency services teams are engaged in rescue operations and 700 shelters are being provided with cooked and dry food, drinking water, plastic bags and medical services.
