BHUBANESWAR: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram has said Prakash Paswan is an active worker of mine and a representative of Rourkela Municipal Corporation.
‘If there is any allegation against him regarding the Circuit House incident, then it should be investigated impartially and transparently. If found guilty, punishment should be given as per the law—I have no objection to this. The law should be applied equally to everyone. I have been in electoral politics for the last 35 years and the blessings of people of all religions and communities are with me. Odia, people from other states, tribals, Bengalis, Biharis or Marwaris—all are equal for me,” Oram said.
‘I have been elected to serve everyone and it is my responsibility to work in the interest of the people. At this time, there was an attempt to create confusion through the Right to Information Act (RTI) using my name, which is wrong or misleading, and that will also be investigated accordingly. Right. If any person or organization is deliberately spreading misinformation against me, then I will take appropriate action as per the law. There will be opposition in politics, there will also be criticism. But lies, misinformation and conspiracies will not be tolerated. Time is very strong. I am waiting for the time,” he added.
