BHUBANESWAR:Anyone who raises a finger on the dignity of an Indian woman will be punished. The discussion that took place in Parliament on the 17th for women would have changed the history of the country. All the opposition parties, including the Congress, did not allow this bill to be approved. The BJD also supported them. Which surprised everyone. The celebration that the Congress and other opposition parties celebrated, no matter how much they condemn it, will be less and the countrymen will never forgive it. Protests and movements are now being held across the country against the anti-women stance of the opposition parties. A huge torch procession was held in Bhubaneswar today.
On this occasion, Honorable State Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvathi Parida said that to empower women, the legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi brought the “Nari Shakti Bandhan Act”. This act ensured 33 percent reservation of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. It strengthened the participation of women in politics. Starting from Congress to Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, DMK, TMC, all the opposition parties have opposed this act and made their anti-women stance clear. The opposition parties are family-centric parties.
They only want to bring their own family women forward in politics. But BJP has always focused on empowering common women. A woman who runs a family can also determine the policies of the country. Due to the lack of willpower of the previous governments, women did not participate in many areas earlier. But under Modi’s leadership, women have demonstrated their excellence in all fields. They have shown their talent in all fields like education, health, science and the army. Despite this, their participation in politics is very less. But by depriving women of their rights, the Congress-led opposition parties have made their anti-women orientation clear. Mrs. Parida said that mothers and sisters will give a befitting reply in the coming days.
The constitutional right of 33 percent reservation will definitely be given to the mothers and sisters of the country. BJP will continue to fight for constitutional rights for women, said State President Shri Manmon Samal, while participating in this Mashal Yatra.
The Congress and the opposition parties have jointly thwarted the 33 percent reservation for women’s rights. No one can stop this bill. Union Minister Mr. Jual Oram has said that the opposition, including the Congress, should rise to the occasion.
State President Shri Manmohan Samal, Union Minister Shri Jual Oram, Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvati Parida flagged off the Mashal Yatra. Women from all walks of life participated in today’s Mashal Yatra, raising slogans against the anti-women Congress-led indemnity and supporting the Nari Shakti Bandhan Act brought by the Yashaswi Prime Minister. The Mashal Yatra went from Rajmahal Chowk to Master Canteen Chowk in Bhubaneswar.
Party leaders and activists, including Women’s Morcha State President Dr. Aishwarya Biswal, Olympian Mrs. Anuradha Biswal, prominent actress Anu Chaudhary, participated in this torch march.
In support of the protest of mothers and sisters after the Women’s Protection Bill was cut, a huge “Jan Akrosh Women’s Padayatra” was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party in the capital Bhubaneswar on the 22nd. Similarly, “Jan Akrosh Women’s Sammelan and Padayatra” were organized in every district of the state on the 24th and 25th. After this Women’s Akrosh Yatra received widespread support at the district level, women have now started protesting widely at all the mandal levels of the state.
