BHUBANESWAR:Gopalpur PS solved a theft case from an under-construction house and arrested two accused with recovery of stolen articles*
*Case Reference:*
Gopalpur PS Case No. 564 Dtd. 28.09.2026 U/s 303(2) BNS, turned to U/s 303(2)/3(5) BNS.
*Details of Accused Arrested:*
1. Muna Pradhan (23) S/o Tarini Pradhan
2. Akhila Pradhan (21) S/o Lt. Subash Pradhan
Both of Vill- Kadarapalli, PS- Gopalpur, Dist- Ganjam. Arrested on 29.09.2026 at 08:20 AM and forwarded to Hon’ble Court, Brahmapur observing all arrest formalities and ground of arrest intimated in Odia.
*Articles Seized:*
1. One blue coloured Bosch toolbox containing one Bosch Professional GSH-500 vibrator machine, one electric switchboard and three vibrator bits.
2. One red coloured TRA Power XPT414 cutter machine and one blue coloured cutter machine.
3. About 500 metres of cut-piece electric wire.
4. One Texmo ½ HP water motor.
*Brief Facts of the Case:*
On 28.09.2026 at 01:05 PM, complainant Lipta Kumari Sethy (28) W/o Basanta Kumar Sethy of Vill- Gounju, PS- Gopalpur reported theft from her under-construction house at Rakhya Bihar. In the intervening night of 25/26.09.2026, the accused persons committed theft of construction tools and electrical articles and kept the stolen articles in the house of accused Muna Pradhan.
*Police Action:*
On written report, case registered and investigation taken up. Complainant and witnesses examined and statements recorded U/s 180 BNSS. Spot visited and spot map prepared. On reliable information, IO raided the house of accused Muna Pradhan and recovered all stolen articles and seized them. Finding prima facie evidence U/s 303(2)/3(5) BNS, both accused were arrested and forwarded to Hon’ble Court.
