BHUBANESWAR:Addressing the media after returning from his visit to New Delhi, the Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi gave very positive information about the permanent solution to the Mahanadi water dispute. In the important discussions with the central leadership and the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, the rights of the state, the interests of farmers and the content related to progress were given top priority.
Union Minister for Water Resources Shri C.R. Patil chaired amicable talks with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Bishnu Deo Sai to resolve the dispute.
The interests of the people of Odisha, the interests of the farmers and environmental protection are the highest priority.
The technical committee formed under the chairmanship of the Central Water Commission will submit its report to the tribunal within three months. Good news that the Mahanadi water problem will be resolved by next Diwali.
