BHUBANESWAR: In the presence of Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday attended the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University of Andhra Pradesh (CTUAP) and felicitated the first batch of students who graduated.
In this Saraswat ceremony, the Union Minister Shri Pradhan urged the students to come forward to work for the development of the tribal community and the welfare of the society. He said, to realize the vision of ‘Developed India’ of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we all have to move towards excellence. Similarly, as advised by the Hon’ble President, the students should stay connected with their culture, tradition and community and work for the welfare of the society and the development of the lives of the tribal brothers and sisters.
He further said that he had the privilege of being present at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the permanent campus of this university in 2023. But it is a matter of great pride and joy to see the first batch of students of the university receiving degrees in just a few years. This is a testament to the continuous efforts and remarkable progress of the university. This Central Tribal University reflects the true vision of the ‘National Education Policy’ towards preserving the traditional tribal knowledge of India and preparing the youth for the future.
During the visit, Union Minister and Andhra Pradesh IT and Human Resource Development Minister Shri Nara Lokesh interacted with the students of ‘PM Shri Andhra Pradesh Model School’ in a virtual session. Shri Pradhan expressed happiness over the confidence and use of technology in the children through digital education. He asserted that the use of technology will help in creating a future-oriented generation in the coming days as education is made more attractive and accessible.
The Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Shri S. Abdul Nazeer, the State Human Resource Development Minister, the Minister for Women, Child and Tribal Welfare, the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of the University were prominently present at the convocation ceremony.
