DUBAI/BHUBANESWAR: United Arab Emirates Nuakhai Bhetghat 2023 preparation meeting was organized on 2nd Jul 2023 by Nuakhai Paribar UAE at Dubai. People across the emirates joined the meeting. An outline was prepared for the upcoming Nuakhai Bhet Ghat to be held on 1st-Oct-2023 (Sunday) at Dubai.
The Nuakhai Paribar UAE, have been celebrating “Nuakhai” Festival in UAE since 2014. It was discussed to have a full day cultural event followed by dance, song and drama by inhouse talent with odia traditional food. Because of the uniqueness of the event and the performances, there is tremendous amount of enthusiasm and excitement among the Odia Community in the UAE and a huge crowd is expected.
Nuakhai Paribar UAE takes this opportunity to invite some personalities from Odisha who have contributed significantly to the development of our motherland and her culture and recognize them for their effort.
‘NUAKHAI’ is an agricultural festival mainly observed by people of Odisha in India. It is observed to welcome the new rice of the season. The word ‘Nua’ means New and ‘Khai’ means Food, so the name “Nuakhai” means the farmers are in possession of the newly harvested rice.
