BHUBANESWAR: The Directorate of Mines and Geology of the Odisha Steel and Mines Department has issues notice inviting tender for 11 mineral blocks spread cross 5 districts including Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Rayagada, Kalahandi and Bargarh.
Of the total 11 blocks, 5 are Bauxites while 6 blocks Iron Ore, Manganese, Dolomite and limestone. The last date for submission of tender document is July 13, 2026. Last Date for purchase of tender papers is July 6, 2026 while sale of tender papers will begin from June 1, 2026, the notification said.
11 Mineral blocks which were put for auction included Karlapat Bauxite block in Kalahandi, Nunapaimali Bauxite block in Rayagada, Patamunda –B Manganese and Iron Ore block in Sundargarh , Kendudihi –Parrulipada Manganese and Dolomite block in Kendujhar, Jaldihi Tantigram Iron Ore and Aluminous laterite block in Sundargarh, Gadadharpur Iron Ore block in Kendujhar, Barpada South Iron and Manganese Ore block in Sundargarh, Behera Banjipali Limestone block in Bargarh, Tikriguda Maliguda Bauxite block in Rayagada and Nangalmarthimali Bauxite block in Rayagada.
‘In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(B) and Section 11 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation ) Act of 1957 and in accordance with the mineral (Auction) Rules 2015 as amended from time to time notified thereunder , the Government of Odisha has identified 11 blocks for auction,” the Directorate of Mines and Geology under the Odisha Steel and Mines Department, said.
