NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has tendered his resignation from Union Cabinet.
Pradhan sent his resignation letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pradhan shared this in social media site twitter X.
‘To ensure that anti-national elements are not benefitted by the situation at Jantar Mantar and across the country, that the nation remains united, students in India do not get tangled in legal complexities and focus on their studies and their career, I have tendered my resignation to the Prime Minister,” Pradhan said.
The new bill to plug paper leaks and frame punishment for the accused will be placed before Parliament on Monday.
Pradhan resignation letter expresses faith in democracy and India’s youth, references troubles over the past 10 days (including events at Jantar Mantar), cites concerns about anti-national forces, national unity, and students’ futures/legal issues, and states that the resignation has been submitted. He thanks the PM and colleagues, mentions devotion to the nation and Odisha, and invokes Lord Jagannath.
