BHUBANESWAR: 1990 batch Odisha cadre IPS Officer, and State DGP, YB Khuarnia along with 1992 batch IPS Officer and Additional Director Intelligence Bureau Headquarters’ Sapna Tiwari and 1993 batch IPS Officer and DG (CID-CB) Vinaytosh Mishra are among those 3 senior IPS officers retiring on March 31.
If incumbent DGP Khurania’s service not extended, then Odisha will see a new DGP soon. Crime Branch Boss also retiring so, the CID-CB will get a new Chief. Tiwari has been on central posting since long and retiring this month end.
For DGP, 1990 batch IPS Officer, Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi , who is present DG Fire Service, 1993 batch IPS officer Sushant Nath , who is DG (Prison) and 1993 batch IPS officer and Director Intelligence, RP Koche are among those front runner for the post of Odisha Police chief .
Considering seniority, Dr Sudhanshu Sarangi is front runner while chances of both Nath and Koche can’t be ignored.
Sources said, around 14 IPS officers across India including 3 from Odisha are retiring on March 31.
Besides, 1994 batch IPS Officers including Director Vigilance YK Jethwa and ADGP (Anti Maoists Operations) Sanjeeb Panda also in the list. With this, reshuffle among IPS officers in Odisha looks bright.
