BHUBANESWAR: The Depression over north Chhattisgarh moved nearly northwards with a speed of 15 kmph during past 06 hours and lay centered at 1800 UTC of 25th September 2026 over north Chhattisgarh & adjoining Northeast Madhya Pradesh, near latitude 22.8°N and longitude 82.1°E, close to Pendra Road (42779, Chhattisgarh), about 110 km northwest of Champa (42783, Chhattisgarh) and 180 km south of Sidhi (42577, Madhya Pradesh).
It is very likely to move north-northwestwards towards southeast Uttar Pradesh across north Chhattisgarh & northeast Madhya Pradesh as a depression till 1200 UTC of 26th September.
Continuing to move further north-northwestwards, it is very likely to weaken gradually into a well-marked low pressure area during subsequent 12 hours The system is under continuous surveillance by the Doppler Weather Radars at Sambalpur (42883) & Raipur (42874).
